Finally, my summative exam at school is over and school break have started. My school'll close from now till 4 JAN. I'll have to go to Yala in Jan for couple days to finish some business. I'm not sure I'll be traveling during this break cos' I know that everyone will be somewhere outside Bangkok and that means there're will be very crowded in most tourist spot. I'd better avoid that.
Today I went to watch a movie called "OK. Baytong" with my mum. She really liked the movie. It's about a former monk who come to live in the city. Lots of funny story in the movie. Don't miss it
I'll haveto say Merry X' Mas and very Happy New Year to everyone. I can't believe it's another year passing (Oh I'm getting older) Anyway, hope this will be your lovely year!

Today is father's day in Thailand ( also the King's birthday ). I gave my dad a BudDaRakSa Flower which mean to resprct him. Most people in Bangkok are takeing a trip outside Bangkok cos' its a long weekend. (5 Dec till 7 Dec and some of them may continue till 10 Dec ) So Bangkok is not too busy. I went to the movie and it was not too crowded over there. ( today I watched 2 movies )
At night, I went to Sukhumvit area to see if they've already set up the X'Mas Light. Yeah it's all set, like every year but I think this year is more beautiful. Starting from Central ChidLom, Gaysorn Paza, WTC, Sogo, The Peninsula Plaza, Four seasons hotel. Also loads of decorating along the road. I'll take photos and upload here soon.

I'm now in Kan Cha Na Bu Ri (1.5 hour drive from BKK), where I've been six months ago. But this forthnight they have the Light and Sound show of the River Kwai bridge and to celebrate 60 anniversary of the bridge.
The show was to promote River Kwai Bridge and remind the old days of the World War2. I've learned a lot of history from this show. Starting from the time when all countries in South East Asia were colonized by the european except Thailand and Japan. Japan came to Thailand and tried to get to Burma. The best way to get there is to build a bridge cross River Kwai so they started to build the metal bridge by the European slave. While they were building the bridge, there was a lot of problem such as hot weather, Malaria and they need to made it in a very short time. More than 60,000 slaves were died. It is said that each tile of the railway means a life.
The shows was full of special effect. Lots of bomb and fireworks. It's another interesting occasion during 28 Nov-7 Dec. Don't miss it .

Today is my temple day. I woke up quite early and went to a temple near my house to pray and make merit. Then me and my family decided to continue visiting temples around Bangkok to reach 9 temples in one day. We park our car near Khao San Rd. and getting around by walking and Taxi. The second temple is Wat Phra Kaew. I saw a lot of Japanese tourists there today.Thenwe crossed the road to City Throne which was built when Bangkok was establish. Next is Wat Po where the longest and biggest reclining Buddha statue is located. Then we took a boat to cross to another side of Chao Pra Ya River where Wat Arun (also called "the temple of dawn")is located. Near Wat Arun is Wat MoLeeLok. It's a small temple between Wat Arun and Wat KalLaYaNaMitr. I've never been to this temple before. It's building is in Chinese style with a big Buddha statue inside. Then we took taxi to Wat Rakang and rest to drink at PaTaRaWaDee Theater. Then we crossed the river back to Wat ChaNa SongKram. That was the end of the 9 temples trip in a day.
By the way, I've got my new laptop computer and it's easiler for me to make my website. I'll upload some more photos tomorrow. C ya :-)

I've just back from a day trip with my friends to Sunflower Field and Pasak Jolasit Dam . I had to got up at 5 am and rush to the train station. I met 17 of my friends and leave BKK at 6.20am. 3 hours later I arrive at the middle of Sunflower Field (more about sunflower field here>>>) I also bought sunflower only 5 baht each. Then the train stop at the center of the bridge which cross a huge dam. I've never seen anything like this before. After taking loads of pictures with my friends, the train stop at Pasak Jolasit Dam and we had lunch there. It's a very big dam nearest to BKK. We took a van to take us ariund the dam then buy Sunflower seed back home. Guess how much for all this trip! Only 400 baht for all. It's quite cheep cos I took the 3rd class a/c train but the a/c was broken so they have to return me 100baht. That means I paid only 300 baht for all. It was another cool day :-) ... See ya

Today is my first day at school and also the first business day after APEC. I expected the crowded BTS and a lot of traffic jam. But when I reached at the BTS station. There was only a few people. Even in the train. There was available seats (this didn't happen for a very long time.) A woman in the train offer to help me carry a bag full with books. Oh! the situation is not often happen in Bangkok nowadays. It might be a good sign for my first day at school.
I still have 7 periods a day(Mon-Thu) starting from 7.30 am till 3.00 pm. and 3 period on Friday (Soldier training in the afternoon.) And I'll have my next entrance exam in April. If the score of my first enteance exam is good, I'll not have to concentrate with the second one too much. Take Care...

13/10/2003
Finally, my Entrance exam is over. I'm free right now. The score will be annouced next month. I'm going to Yala ( A province at the South of Thailand.) next week and may spend all my vacation there. APEC is coming and everything in Bangkok was rebuilt. All pavement are new. Flowers are all over. Yesterday I went to Wat Phra Kaeo and saw every new. On the way there, I was surprised with the buildings in that area. They repainted all buildings on Raj Dam Nern Rd. to light yellow. Wherever you turn, you'll see Yellow,ha ha. The road is clean. PM Taksin tell people to leave Bangkok during APEC for their vacation ( to keep all road clear and not too busy when APEC delegate arrive in Bangkok )
Tomorrow I'm leaving Bangkok to Yala. I'll update my site with more photos from there. And I promise to update my web more often (Sorry for not update for ages :-P )

It's a hot and sunny day in Bangkok. I went to school late this morning and leaved school at 10.30. I rushed home and prepared to go to Wat Phra Kaeo with my mother. I have to go there 'cos I've promised the buddha I'll visit Wat Phra Kaeo if I make high score in Math test last week. When the score was annouced. I got 35 out of 40. I was surprised 'cos Math exam at my school always really hard and lots of students failed. I feel happy with my score. So that's why I go there today. I visit Wat Phra Kaeo with my mother. At the main gate, I was askes to pay for the ticket to get to the temple. (Actually all foreigner have to pay for a ticket to get in but Thai doesn't. ) I have to them "I'm Thai". There're some people say I look like Japanese or Korean. Yeah, sometime Japanese tourists try to speak Japanese to me at SiamSquare.
In the afternook I had lunch at Khao San Rd. in a Thai restaurant. The road still the same, loads of Farang and very hot. Then I went to Farang Magazine office to subscribe for that magazine. I love to read traveling stuff in it.
Entrance exam is coming. I have to warn myself to continue studing again. And hope that after the exam in October, I'll have free time to arrange some trip again.

By the way, I've just have my hair cut last week. I shaves it. I'm quite like it. (I have never been in this style before.) The reason to done this is because I have to join the Army school which all Thai guy have to attend.
I have already built my Guest Book Page. Feel free to write it so I can know what you thing about my web and photo. And If you would like some of my Photos you can e-mail me and tell me which one you want. I can send you in a larger size.

I've just back from Ayuttaya with my school trip. Yeah, it's 2 of school trip in this month. And again, I have to get up at 5.30 (so sleepy and it was still dark) and arrived school at 6.30. There was 32 buses lined up waiting for M.6 students. Imagine 1,400 people travel from Bangkok to Ayuttaya. It only happen once a year. Ayuttaya was a capital city of Thailand. Now, there're a lot of ruins('cos they were burned).
The buses left at 7.00 AM. In the bus there were all my old class friend. It's nice to meet all them again. An hour and a half later , I arrived at a village in Ayuttaya, called Arranyik Village. People in this village make knife for their living. I've learned a lot about how to make knife and how hard it is. There're many kinds of knife over there and all of them are hand made.
I left there and went to Phra Nah Koran Luang Palace. It was built in 1631 when Thailand won the war with Khmer. The style of this creation was copy from Khmer. At the top of the main building. There is a huge foot-print of the Buddha. Also, there're a lot of ruins there.
Then I went to Ayuttaya Museum. It shows a lot about Ayuttaya in the old days, Also when this town was not burned yet. It has imitate many thing in that era to show there. At lunch time, I had lunch at Krung Sri River Hotel. There was 1,400 students eating there. It make the hotel looks small.
The next destination is Su Wan Da Ra Ram temple, then Mong Kol Bo Pit temple. The last destination was Panan Choeng temple which has a huge Buddha statue.(Biggest I've ever seen). Then I headed back to Bangkok. It's been another tired day and now I'm now feeling sleepy again.

20/6/2003
Today I have a school trip at Wat Phra Kaeo and The Grand Palace in Bangkok where I already have some photo in this web site. The meeting time is 7.30 so I got up at 5.30 in the morning, getting ready in school uniform and catch BTS to National Stadium station to meet my friend and we took a taxi to get there. When I were at the station, all shops weren't open yet.
The traffic was light, we're able to get there in time, just about 15 minutes from National stadium, we reached Wat Phra Kaeo. There were about 1,400 students from my school over there. So where ever I turn. I'll see someone from my school. It makes me feel comfortable there.
We were separated in 8 groups so that it'll be easy for the guide to describe. When we met the guide, she started to describe a lot about the History of this temple. Some of them I haven't known before. And it was raining this morning. So the trip was slowed down for a while. I have taken a lot of photos but it was quite dark in the morning due to the cloud. Some of them may not have enough light.
After a long description about Wat Phra Kaeo and the History. I went to the main building where the Emerald Buddha is, but I'm not able to take photo inside. Emerald Buddha change 3 costume every year which are related to the weather in Thailand. Sunny, Rainy and Cold.
The wall of this temple is painted with the art which tell the story of Ra Ma Kien . There're a lot of Chinese style doll which shown that Thailand had a good relationship with China in the old day. The doll was all over the temple, mostly in front of doors.
The next part of the trip is The Grand Palace, where tourists are only allow to see the outside of the building. But today my school ask the permission to get inside. It's a great opportunities for my school students to get in there. On the ground floor, it was the gun museum where shows a lot of gun in the past. All of them were used for war. I've seen many style of gun. Also one which I saw in the movie The Mexican.
On the second floor is the restrict area. It's where the pictures of the king in the past were and a hall where a lot of important ceremony and diplomatic protocol was hold. Another side is a hall which shown the picture of the Ladies who were important in the past. Unfortunately, we're not allow to take photo inside.
Then I went to Wat Phra Kaeo Museum. It's were a lot of Buddha statue in many action located. Also a lot of stuff which is used in the old days. Some of them I have never seen before. The most important, the air condition was great.(Today was very hot outside)
The next destination was Wat Po because we have to finish our Thai paper which want us to discover the temple and fill the description of the temple. Then took some photos with friends. And it was noon. So we went to have lunch at Khaosan Rd. Well that's the end of my school trip today...

All my day is study. Started with a Chemistry class at a building in Siam Square. While I was in the elevator. A European man says "Have a great day" to me when he left the elevator, this happen rarely in Thailand and I think today I'm gonna have a great day. (I haven't heard it for a while)
At noon, I had lunch with my friends and continue another class. It's a Basic Engineer class. I have to pass this exam to enter the faculty of Engineer. It's quite hard but I have to pass it anyway.
At three I moved to another building to study Physics. It's boring again. I finish at 6.00 and I met my friends. She bring me "Natural" CD with their autograph. (Natural are promoting their album in Thailand) I was really happy with that. Maybe the "Have a great day" really come true.

"Well begin is half done!" That's what my teacher told me. Today is my first day at school so I follow what she'd told me.(I want to know why it is half done.) So I woke up early and went to school. There was quite crowded in BTS. When I reach at school I went to my class and most of my new friends in that class weren't there yet, so I went down to the canteen to have breakfast with my friends. I also joined my friends to welcome new students. They seems to enjoy that. I study 7 period a day till 3.00 PM. I'm quite don't like getting up early and start stressful study at school(and something else, may be that I have to prepare myself for the Entrance exam to the University ). Now everyone who is in the last year of High school are nervous about the Entrance exam in the next 4 month. They all want to study in faculty they want but there's a lot of competitor. I also have to pass that exam too. So I may not update this site as often as I used to but I'll try my best.

Today is my first day at school. I got up at 6 and hurry to school 'cos I think it's the first day of many schools in BKK and the traffic will be really jam.(as I don't want to stuck on the road) I took BTS to Siam Square and BTS have just a few passenger at that time. I was surprised. Also the road didn't have a lot of car! May be it's too early. When I reach my school. I head to my new class 77. And I finally make new friends:-) .Then I went to the canteen to meet all my old friends. This semester my school starts at 7.50 and finish at 3.00 I like that cos I got a lot of free time after school :-). In the afternoon I joined my friend to welcome new students to my school (Grade 10) It was a lot of fun.

Well, today I move myself from bed at noon (and that also the time I got up.) hehe! is that too late? But this would be my last time for me to sleep as much as I want before my school starts this Friday. I called my friend and he told me my class no. I will be studying at class no. 77 and I'll have to make all new friends (all who I know are in other class). On Friday I'll have to go to school for 3 hrs.(I don't know what for??? only 3 hrs. May be just see where the class is!!!) Then, I think most student will go to watch The Matrix at the theater and the cinema will full of teenage in school uniform. By the way, today I went to Pra-Tu-Nam near WTC .It's a fashion market. Loads of clothes in cheap price are on sale there.(Cheaper than Jatujak Market) I'll upload the photo soon.

I woke up a bit early. And I think I stay by the sea but I haven't walk down to the sea. So I walk down there, what I feel is, damm hot! I think it's now getting hotter than usual. I saw some white horse running by the beach and a lot of tourist exercise on the beach. I saw a temple at Khao Ta Kieb from there so I decided to go there. But it was too early, the temple still close. I got some pic of that temple and went back to Bangkok. It's another two-day trip which can take me to 2 province and I really enjoy it. My school will be open on 16 May. (I wish day goes by slowly)

Today I went to KanChaNaBuRi(or "Muang Kan")in the morning and head to Hua Hin by the afternoon. At Muang Kan, I had lunch at a restaurant by the river which is really delicious and cheap. When we leave there I was too happy with the food that I forgot my Digital Camera!. I realize about it when I leave there. So I have to run back there, luckily the restaurant keep it for me. Then I went to Kanchanaburi War Cemetery and took some photos there. I couldn't believe that during World War 2 they need about 300,000 laborers to build the Burma-Thai rail. I think it's too much but maybe during that old time and without technology. It might possible. Guess what!!!, 100,000 of them died. And this is where they were buried. It's a very large yard. When I leave there I went to River Kwai Bridge where the rail cross River Kwai. The bridge is huge and there were loads of tourists over there. The weather was terribly hot (bout 40 degree celsius) In the evening I head to Hua-Hin to stay at my favorite resort. I arrived there at 6 PM and went to the night market which always crowded and have a lot of delicious stuff. But I went to have dinner at an Italian Restaurant (My favorite food). Then I when to Marriott where I spend the night.

Finally I decided to go to a Military base to have some adventure fun. From the International Youth&Eco Travel mart I went couple days ago. As I mentioned about touring in military. Today I decided to do it. I went to NakornNaYok (about 1 hr from BKK) by car. It's a military base called Chulachomklao Royal Military Academy. There was many activity waiting for tourists such as Canoe, Parachute Drill, Golf and there also have a temple too. I went shooting with Magnum gun. (My first time to try this short gun) The result was not too bad. See pic here. And I went to jump from replica cliff. First I didn't tend to do it. But later I taught I should try to fill me some new experience. I paid 50? and get all the safety cloth on. I walked up there with confidence, but when it's my turn, what I feel is very SCARY.When I was at the verge of the top I told the staff I don't want to do it. But he push me down! And I did it. It's not that hard, I think. And I decided to do it again. At the second time, it's a lot better. I don't scare anymore and enjoy it. Well, It's another exciting day in my school break.

I've just back from International youth and eco Travel mart at Queen Sirikit Convention Center. It's a exhibition that contain a lot of Travel agent that offer package tour and air ticket to all over the world in very cheap price. There was loads of people line up to buy air ticket (25% off) and also very crowed in there. The Army are now offer a lot of tour package in their base and operate some interesting activities like rock climbing, shooting, swimming etc., I have also registered for the International Student Card there. (Like the fake one at Khao San Rd. but this is the registered one.) When I leave there, the traffic (as usual, on that Rd.) is really terrible. I decided to take motorcycle to BTS and go to Siam Square to join my chemistry class from 6.00-8.00 (this is the last time for this class) Yeah I'm kin da happy to finish this one (but there's another Physics left) Anyway, I'm planing about traveling somewhere outside Bangkok in the next couple days before my school start on 15 this month.

29/4/2003
Today I got up a bit early(than usual) in the morning with the sun. I'm thinking it's better to get up early cos I'll have more time to do stuff like make my breakfast(which I haven't done for a while) and prepare for my today's class. Then I took BTS to Siam Square. It's now always very crowded in BTS and everyone seems indifferent to each other. It's not the way Thais used to be(Smile and thoughtful)But I didn't mean everyone, just most of them. Anyway, I still study from 7.30 till the evening. After all day with that. I went to MBK to search for a cell phone for my mum and finally got one Motorola. At MBK, there're a lot of mobile shops and customers since mobile is a fashion in Thailand. Nowadays 90% of population in Thailand have it. But I've a heard a lot of effect from mobile phone that will effect the brain. So now I'm waiting for the proof of it. By the way, I haven't post new travel photo for a while but I'll do it as soon as I finish my class( in 2-3 days ) .

20/4/2003
After my all week study. I end up going to Wat Po for foot massage. I like it cos it's another way of relaxation. Most of schools in Bangkok are open in the middle of September but I still have to study st Siam Square. Anyway the weather in Bangkok is still quite hot but better than it was. Or may be I get use to it. Bangkok's traffic jam is coming back as usual after Songkran. Tomorrow I plan to go to the Grand Palace (I tend to go there today but I was late.) I'll take some pic and upload it soon. Take Care...

16/4/2003
After a long weekend in Bangkok and my second trip at Chaopraya River. I have to do what most of Thai students have to, "Rean Pi Sed" or a study course outside school. Is it fashion??? I don't know. But I do it because I want high score at my Entrance exam to the University. So that I can choose a good faculty. It took me all day for that (8 am till 5 PM). So I may not be able to travel around Bangkok as often as I used to. But I'll try my best to take some photos. See you... Jock

13/4/2003
Well, at last I went to Khao San Road for my Songkran celebration. Actually I didn't want to go there but there's no other place in Bangkok like Khaosan that you can have fun, dance, pouring water that can cool you down(may be water fight) and guy's chance to touch girl's cheek.(by take powder to their face). So finally I decided to go there. There was too many people there that I couldn't walk. (I think most who still in BKK were there.) And of course, very hot!!!. The fountain that I took photo is not the same anymore. Some of it has already broken cos there were too many people around there.I went there with my friend. Now, as most people go outside Bangkok for their long weekend. Bangkok's traffic is very light. So I kin da go around by car instead of BTS(I use it all year). In the morning, I went to a temple to pray and bath the Buddha. Any way, I still have another 2 days of Songkran. I've to decide where to go then. Have a great Songkran and Happy New Year!!! ... JOCK

Wassup guys, It's just getting hot in Bangkok. Sometimes it hit 40 degree Celsius. I couldn't believe it. Today I make a trip around Bangkok. I went to Chao Pra Ya River, Raj-Dam-Nern Rd., Sa Nam Luang, Khao San Road and Democracy Monument. It's seem like many place but they're in the same area. Thai New year's day is coming(13-15 April). Tourism Authority of Thailand has built a pool on Raj-Dam-Nern Rd. to celebrate. There're lots of fountain and photos of the King. You can see photos at travel pic section. Thailand celebrate 3 new year, 1 January, Chinese new year and Thai new year(13-15 April). On 13-15 people will be throwing water together and pray at the temple. There'll be a lot of people throwing water at Khao San Road. I'll avoid going there cos I went there couples year ago. There was too many people that I couldn't walk. Anyway, I've to figure where to hang on that long weekend. Take Care...

Hi everyone and welcome you to my new domain name www.iamjock.com , I have done some update and new style. Please tell me what you think about it! Any way, now my school is close ( It's summer and it's really hot in Bangkok ) so I have a lot of time to go around Thailand which I already did. I went to Krabi, Phuket, PP Island and I've just come back from my parent's hometown "Yala" in the South. Now the worry of flu from south China is getting serious in Thailand because there is no medicine to get rid of it. I have to wear mask at the airport and in the aircraft. I saw people wear mask in BTS Sky train too. I just hope not to have that flu in Thailand...PLEASE
